What is WAKEFEST?

WakeFest is Wakefield’s 1st Annual Multi Muse / Multi Arts Festival.
August 21-24, 2008
Wakefield, Quebec

It will bring together artists from here and beyond and from all artistic backgrounds (theatre, music, literary arts, fine arts, street art, etc.) to perform in numerous venues throughout our beautiful village.

The festival will also focus on collaborative projects – a fusing of muses – leaning toward the edgier side of the creative process and artistic expression. There will be filmmakers working with musicians, street performers and actors working with visual artists and filmmakers.

Burning Man meets Blues Skies meets Frimge meets Independent Film Festival

A multi-arts festival in a town of multiple artists harnessing the ideas and energy of many artists and community builders in our midst and introducing Wakefield to artists and performers from beyond our borders – national and international – in order to inspire a fusing of ideas and collective creation.
